Sergi Roberto on goal vs Leverkusen: 'Most important of my career'

One of the most important players in Barcelona's incredible 2-1 win over Bayer Leverkusen on Tuesday was certainly Sergi Roberto. The young Spaniard, who has been deeply criticized for his lackluster performances as a midfielder, completely changed the game in that exact position, creating and scoring the first goal that opened the door for the comeback victory.

Roberto talked to the media after the game, and mentioned his goal, what changed the match in the second half, and the importance of the win.

"I'm playing more at the beginning of this season. I feel great physically and I'm trying to give my best to help the team.

"It's probably the most important goal I've scored, because we were behind and it allowed us to tie the game.

"At halftime we stuck together because we knew that we'd succeed. We tweaked our tactics, maybe they were tired too because they pressed very well. With the fans' help we did it."

Another player who talked to the press was Gerard Piqué, who had quick quotes for the fans' support, the difficulty of the match, and how key the victory is. Take a look:

"People said this group was going to be easy. Teams come here and bring a really tough game with them. Despite not being so sharp, we ended up winning. That shows confidence.

"We've always said the fans should always be with us, but sometimes it's tough when you're behind on the scoreboard. We know about Catalan culture, the people are demanding."
