Luis Enrique: "Four points behind Real Madrid? There's a whole lot of Liga left"

Barça's boss wasn't exactly satisfied with the depressing result against Getafe, but he still thinks his team has plenty of opportunities to win La Liga

Following an ultra-depressing 0-0 draw against Getafe, many Barcelona supporters are disappointed at the team's performance on Saturday afternoon. That's not the case with the club's head coach, Luis Enrique.

After the game, Lucho wasn't exactly satisfied with the result, but he made clear that Barça played well enough, and just couldn't convert their numerous chances into a game-winning goal. He also thinks that the Spanish League isn't over after 15 rounds, and Barça have plenty of opportunities to catch Real Madrid and win La Liga.

Here's a few highlights of his post-match answers:

"We were much better than Getafe, we had many opportunities. We chased the goal all the time, unfortunately we didn't use our brains enough. Had we converted one of the many chances, the talk after the game would be very different, so I'm fine with that.

"I don't think we've reacted too late. The thing is that the start of the match is always tough because the opponent is fresh; we were better in the second half, for sure, so we have to work on playing better for the whole 90 minutes and convert our chances.

"We were superior but for sure we gave them a few chances due to some poor transitions. It's a natural, logical thing, and we had the whole match under control.

"Four points behind Real Madrid? There's just a whole lot of La Liga left. We ourselves have had a four-point edge over the second, and we lost that. So it clearly could happen again. I would obviously prefer to be at the top, but that's La Liga. We need to improve, for sure, but we never relax. We try to put in the best performance every match, but sometimes things don't go your way.

"I'm proud of the players. They created an infinity of chances, especially on the left, we had long-distance shots as well... I'm not unhappy with my players. They fought hard all the time, and they never gave up on the match.
