FC Barcelona Injury Report: Dani Alves out with hamstring injury

The Brazilian right-back suffered a minor contusion that is certain to keep him out of the Copa Del Rey match against Huesca

The final year of the Dani Alves Era as a Barcelona player is a weird one. It started terribly, it got better, it went terrible again, it got a little better, then he was suspended, was horrible in his return, and now he's out again. What a way to leave the club.

Barça's medical staff released a statement on Sunday morning confirming that Alves indeed suffered an injury in the match against Getafe, which is the reason why Dani was substituted by Adriano at the end of the disappointing 0-0 draw on Saturday. According to the doctors, Alves picked up a hamstring contusion:

Dani Alves picked up a hamstring strain in Saturday night’s draw against Getafe which will keep him out of Tuesday’s Cup game against Huesca. The Brazilian wing back was given treatment for the injury during training this morning and his availability for next weekend’s game remains in doubt.

Naturally, Alves will miss the Copa Del Rey encounter with Huesca, on Tuesday night. His status is doubtful for the last game of 2014, against Córdoba in six days. Hamstring is always the most complicated injury for a professional athlete, since it's always difficult to deal with and is almost always unpredictable.

We wish Alves a speedy recovery......................................

(Thinking).

We do, right??
