Ivan Rakitic: "We have to be self-critical"

Following the disappointing 0-0 draw against Getafe, Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic, who got to start the match, was not in the best mood to talk due to a subpar performance and the overall team showing, but he still gave a good interview analyzing the game, as well as the tactical changes made by coach Luis Enrique, once again.

He also seemed a bit unhappy when asked about being substituted by Andrés Iniesta during the match. Here's a few highlights of his post-match answers:

"We shouldn't be negative, instead we have to see the evolution this team has had over the last matches. We're not happy now, of course, and we have to be self-critical when talking about the game in the locker room and try to improve in the upcoming matches.

"There's a lot of Liga left, so we need to focus on ourselves and how we can improve and keep up our level of performances in the last games, which have been very positive and promising. A result like this won't ruin everything we built so far, and there's no reason to.

"Obviously, we need to gain the most points possible against all opponents, and continue to do that in every match. It didn't happen today, but it wasn't a bad game. We've been superior, we were able to create multiple opportunities, but unfortunately we couldn't convert our chances.

"Luis Enrique's changes? He's the coach and he makes the decisions. We as players have to do our best and fight for the spot while working together as a team and doing it the best way possible.

"Being subbed by Iniesta? I'm obligated to accept it because it's the coach's decision. We all want to play. I'll continue to work for my chances, for the team and to gain confidence from the coach."
