A chance to predict the score of this afternoon's La Liga clash between FC Barcelona and Getafe CF
After an emphatic 4-1 away win over UD Almeria last night, Real Madrid extended their lead at the top of La Liga to five points, leaving FC Barcelona under pressure this afternoon. Defeat Getafe, or risk falling further behind in the title race. Also at stake is second place; anything less than a win would open the door for Atletico Madrid to usurp us; that's the importance of this afternoon's early kick-off.
FC Barcelona are in good form and will be confident of extending their win streak against an out-of-sorts Getafe, but their task has been made a little more difficult with the absence of Neymar. The Brazilian forward was one of the standout performers in mid week against Paris Saint-Germain, grabbing the all-important second goal in quite spectacular fashion. Of course with Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Pedro set to start in his place, Barça are not short on attacking talent, but it's a shame nonetheless. We wish Neymar a speedy recovery and hope to see him back teasing the opposition as soon as possible.
Getafe are also missing a couple of key players; Sergio Escudero and Pedro Leon, the latter of course missing out for an entirely different reason than one might expect from a pprofessional football club. Alas, Cosmin Contra must make do with what he has at his disposal and pray that it will be enough to not only challenge Barcelona, but possibly to defeat them altogether. Good luck Señor, you're gonna need it.
