The youngster, who joined Barcelona in the summer, is back with Rafa Marquez’s side and happy to show off his gold medal from the tournament.

Darvich played a key role in Germany’s success. He featured in every game, scoring once and picking up four assists.

The youngster spoke about the tournament and admitted he was still buzzing from his success.

“It is very special and I am very proud. It is an incredible feeling,” he told the club’s media. “Being captain of the German team is special, I have enjoyed it a lot and all the games have been very good.

“Having won the tournament gives me confidence and I want to continue evolving as a footballer and adapt to the playing style of FC Barcelona.

“[My objective] is continue learning and enjoying every training session and match to continue growing.”

It will be interested to watch how Darvich fares this season now with Marquez’s side and if he can even manage to impress enough to gain some first-team minutes.
