The defender could be on the move again
Clement Lenglet is having a difficult season out on loan at Aston Villa and is now being linked with a move to Bayern Munich.
The Frenchman’s only appearances so far this season for Unai Emery’s side have come in the Europa Conference league.
Reports in Germany reckon that Bayern are looking at Lenglet as a potential back-up option and could well make a move.
Bayern have been hit with injuries to defenders Kim Min-Jae and Matthijs de Ligt, leading them to scout about for potential options.
Barcelona would surely love to offload Lenglet if possible. The defender is contracted to the club until 2026 but seems to have no future with the Catalans.
Xavi has a host of talented center-backs at his disposal and also plenty of youthful options too, such as Pau Cubarsi and Mikayil Faye of Barcelona Atletic.
Any move for Lenglet would need the defender to cut his loan spell at Villa short first, but seeing as he’s hardly playing that may not be too much of an obstacle.
