The Frenchman could go to keep Lionel Messi at the club
Barcelona have found themselves in an interesting predicament. They greatly need to balance the budget in order to make sure Lionel Messi re-signs with the club.
The difficult part has been figuring out ways to generate a more fluid fiduciary situation. They have players they wish to sell that either no one wants for the price Barca needs, or the player doesn’t wish to move amidst a big contract.
That leads us to selling a player that would actually bring in decent money and allow Barca to offer Messi what he is expecting. Enter Antoine Griezmann.
One of the club’s most valuable assets, Griezmann, could be key to resigning Messi. There have been rumors that PSG and a few Premier League clubs are interested in Greizmann. Barcelona likely won’t get close to what they paid for Griezmann, but selling him would bolster the budget in ways that selling Firpo or Todibo get close to fulfilling.
