The winger becomes the team’s latest signing

Barcelona confirmed on Wednesday that Antonio Aranda has joined the club on a free transfer from Granada and will join the B team for 2021-22.

Aranda is a 20-year-old left winger who has signed a two-year deal, with the option for one more, with a release clause set at €50 million.

Here’s Barca’s official statement:

FC Barcelona have signed Antonio Aranda for the Barça B squad. The 20 year old comes to the club from Recreativo Granada, the Andalusian’s B team, and he will sign a two-year deal until 30 June 2023 with the option of another season and a buy out clause set at 50 million euros, rising to 100 million should he become a first team player.

“After completing his medical and stepping out onto the turf at the Estadi Johan Cruyff for the first time, all that remains is for the player to sign his contract in the presence of president Joan Laporta.”

Aranda is the latest player to join Sergi Barjuán’s team in time for the new season and wil join fellow new arrivals including Kays Ruiz, Yusuf Demir, Jordi Escobar, and Ferran Jutgla at Barca B.
