Barcelona staged a late comeback to clinch three points
Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal credited manager Ernesto Valverde for changing the game against Rayo Vallecano.
The visitors looked to be heading for defeat until Ousmane Dembele equalised late on and then Luis Suarez scored a stoppage-time winner.
Valverde sent on Dembele, Munir and Vidal in the second half as his side chased the game, and Vidal reckons that’s why Barcelona won the game.
“The changes from the coach changed the game, we wanted three points and we got them,” he said.
“It was a tough game, we needed to show plenty of spirit and resilience, to play with our hearts and show our character.
“This is an important three points for us and allows us to leave here feeling happy and on a positive note.
“We lost our rhythm but the changes turned the game around, and I am happy to be able to give the coach an option.”

Valverde caused a few surprises by naming the same team which started El Clasico against Rayo Vallecano. However, he brought on Dembele early in the second half with the scores still at 1-1, before Munir and Vidal arrived after Barca had gone behind.
