Grífols could become Barça’s official partner before the end of the year
FC Barcelona are close to finishing a deal with the Catalan pharmaceutical company Grífols for licensing the naming rights to the Camp Nou, according to a report from RAC1.
Mediapro was another potential suitor but as of now, it seems Grífols are in “pole position.” The negotiations are described as so advanced that the deal could be closed before the end of the year. However, in order to be fully confirmed, the club’s members will have to ratify it through a vote.
Barcelona are looking for a partner to fund part of the club’s planned overhaul to the stadium.
There were rumors that Grífols was a candidate to land the naming rights in October 2017, but the company denied it at the time.
