Secret agent Ter Stegen?
Schalke 04’s Leon Goretzka prefers Barcelona over other clubs including Juventus, Bayern Munich, and Liverpoo, according to a report from Mundo Deportivo.
Jörg Neubauer, Goretzka’s representative, has been reportedly negotiating with other clubs regarding the young German’s future destinations.
Apparently Barcelona’s own Marc-André ter Stegen has been key in discussing the lovely prospects of living in Barcelona and playing for the club. Barcelona likely don’t need any help luring young players to the club, but ter Stegen could be a fascinating asset in grabbing young German players.
"Leon is a fantastic player. I like him as a footballer and as a human. He has something in mind, he has outstanding footballing qualities. I have to say that he could also play for one of the top European clubs.
"What I've seen of him in the national team is extraordinary and remarkable. I also think he will get better in the future.
"No matter who gets him in the end - maybe he stays with Schalke 04 - you can only congratulate this club."

Goretzka’s contract runs out at the end of this season and he has yet to re-sign with Schalke. Ter Stegen and Barcelona seem to be somewhat keen on the player, and it’ll be interesting to see how this plays out.
