Luis Enrique’s La Roja look to end the Swiss’ Cinderella story and reach the semifinal
It’s time for the Euro 2020 quarterfinals! Only eight nations remain in what’s been a fantastic tournament so far, and there’s more fun promised for this stage.
We begin in St. Petersburg with Luis Enrique’s Spain who meet the Cinderella Swiss, who come into this one having shocked the reigning world champions France after coming back from 3-1 down to win on penalties. Spain won one of the most memorable international matches ever against Croatia and are favorites here, but Switzerland have already proved they are more than capable of producing the upset.
Lucho picks three Barcelona players in his starting XI as Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets and Pedri come into the team. This will be fun. Vamos!
