The player feels his goodbye has not been appropriate-

Luis Suárez - Barcelona’s third-highest top scorer in club history - is reportedly upset with the way the club is forcing his exit, according to various reports.

The forward was told by the manager over the phone that it was time for him to move on. Ronald Koeman does not count on him for next season.

The call reportedly lasted for around a minute, and the Uruguayan believes this is not an appropriate way to say goodbye to a player who gave his all to the club.

Gerard Romero, an influential local radio personality, criticized club president Josep Maria Bartomeu for the way Suárez was treated.

Romero wrote: “The third top scorer in club history, can’t the PRESIDENT call him? Do you have to stay HIDDEN and pass the buck to the new coach to clean it up?

“How difficult is it to do it the right way?

“Accepting that Suárez had to leave this summer. Was it so difficult to manage the exit well?

“A face-to-face meeting, to plan his departure with a tribute and a show of gratitude.

“Whether you like it or not, this is your 3rd top scorer in the history of FCB.”

Apparently, the club contacted his lawyers to request a meeting, and then left it up to Koeman to explain the situation. Bartomeu has yet to speak to the player.
