Atletico keen on Suarez
Today’s gossip starts with news that Atletico Madrid are thinking about making a move for Barcelona striker Luis Suarez, according to AS.
It won’t be financially easy for Atletico to do a deal, but they could join the running if Suarez is released from his Barcelona contract.
Simeone is said to be a big fan of Suarez, while the report suggests Atleti are hopeful the Uruguayan could have a similar impact to David Villa when he arrived in 2013.
Barcelona want Immobile
Over in Italy La Gazzetta dello Sport has been reporting that Barcelona like the look of Lazio striker Ciro Immobile.
The Catalan giants are struggling to bring Lautaro Martinez in from Inter and could turn their attentions to Immobile instead.
The 30-year-old finished the 2019-20 season as the top scorer in Serie A but has not yet agreed a new contract with Lazio.
Juventus ask about Messi
And finally we bring news that Juventus can be added to the list of clubs reportedly interested in signing Lionel Messi.
L’Equipe reckon the Italian champions have been in touch with Jorge Messi to talk about the possibility of landing the GOAT.
