Barcelona announced on Friday they have signed 18-year-old center-back Moussa Ndiaye from the Aspire Academy Dreams in Senegal.

The teenager arrives on a three-year deal, with the option for two more seasons, for a fee of €500,000, plus variables. He has a buyout clause set at €100m.

Barcelona have offered some details on Ndiaye who will join up with Francisco Javier García Pimienta’s Barcelona B team for 2020-21.

“Ndiaye is a left sided defender who can play at both centre back and fullback. He is 1.78 metres tall and boasts great strength and speed -as shown in the Under-20s African Cup of Nations in 2019, in which he was named Player Of The Tournament. He also made his mark in the Under-20s World Cup in Poland, where Senegal reached the quarter finals before losing to South Korea on penalties.”

Barcelona B also unveiled new goalkeeper Alex Ruiz on Friday. The 19-year-old has signed for one season, with Inaki Pena expected to be promoted to the first team for next season.

Barcelona B were back at work on Friday. The players underwent their usual medical checks and will have their first pre-season training session on Monday.
