The Frenchman could miss the next three months
Ousmane Dembele’s injury problems keep on making news, and there are reports he may need to undergo surgery which would rule him out for three months.
AS report that the Frenchman has suffered “a relapse of a thigh muscle injury in his right leg” which he first suffered against Celta Vigo at the end of last season.
The club are currently trying to decide what is the best way to treat the problem. At the moment it is reported that they haven’t ruled out the option of surgery.
Dembele is already expected to be out for five weeks but surgery would mean a three-month lay-off, although the player is said to be “willing to accept any solution” and wants a “permanent fix.”
Barcelona have only confirmed so far he has a thigh injury but an update is expected on Friday. Either way it seems he won’t see him again until 2019, but if it is decided that he needs to go under the knife he is unlikely to return until the end of February.
