The former goalkeeper wants the youngster to stay grounded
Victor Valdes has offered Ansu Fati some words of advice after he made his first-team debut for Barcelona on Sunday.
The 16-year-old made history when he came off the bench in the 5-2 win over Real Betis, but Juvenil A coach Valverde does not want the teenager to get carried away.
Valdes was asked what advice he would give the youngster and was happy to offer his thoughts.
“That he doesn’t forget where he comes from,” he said.
”He represents hard work. He was lucky enough to reach his goal, like others have done.
”Whether he touches glory or not, it’s another story. He has the soul of an elite player and he’s a predator in the box.”

Ansu trained again with the first team on Monday and could be involved again at the weekend when Barcelona face Osasuna.
