Andres Iniesta has given a great interview to The Guardian where he talked about loads of things but in particular about his final game for Barcelona.
The midfielder said farewell after a 1-0 win over Real Sociedad last month and after the match was photographed alone on the Camp Nou pitch for some time.
The 34-year-old spoke about how it was an emotional moment as he said goodbye to the club where he had enjoyed so much success.
“It was lovely to sit there, a moment between me and the pitch where I enjoyed myself so much,” he said
“Just me saying goodbye to my home. Every corner of the Camp Nou holds a memory. It’s very powerful, brutal. It was emotional.”
Iniesta’s currently on international duty with Spain ahead of World Cup 2018. Julen Lopetegui’s side have been drawn against Portugal, Morocco and Iran in the group stages.
