Chelsea reject Barca’s huge Willian bid
Today’s rumors start with Chelsa who have apparently rejected a £50 million bid from Barcelona for Willian.
According to the Daily Mail (so, you know), Barca want to add Willian to their attack and think he can link up well with Philippe Coutinho.
Willian’s representatives are said to have been in Barcelona, but Chelsea aren’t that keen on letting the Brazilian leave Stamford Bridge.
Barcelona give up on Pjanic
Over at Marca the word is that Barcelona have given up on their attempts to sign Miralem Pjanic from Juventus.
The Serie A champions want at least €80 million for the midfielder which has put Barcelona off trying to bring him in this summer.
Ariedo Braida effectively said as much in the week and it looks as though this is one player who is no longer on the club’s radar.
Lenglet to reveal future on Saturday
Saturday is D-Day when it comes to Clement Lenglet because that is when he will reveal his future plans, according to his agent Gregory Dakad.
The defender doesn’t sound like he’s going to go full Antoine Griezmann and release a 30 minute self-indulgent video, but he will let Sevilla know whether he’s staying or going, according to Sport.
Lenglet has a release clause of €35 million and it’s expected that Barcelona will activate it in July unless the defender decides he wants to stay where he is.
Cillessen wants to leave
And finally today we end with news that goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen has decided he’s bored of sitting on the bench and wants to leave Barcelona.
Cillessen is happy at the club but has other offers where he would be first-choice and is understandably tempted, so say Sport.
The goalkeeper has a release clause of €60m but Barca may be willing to sell for half that as they as they want to avoid a long and drawn out transfer saga.
