Samuel Umtiti has posted a great response to his handball against Australia on Saturday as France won their opening game 2-1.
Les Bleus went ahead through an Antoine Griezmann penalty but were quickly pegged back when Australia were awarded a spot-kick of their own after Umtiti’s handball.
It was a curious moment from Umtiti who jumped eyes closed, arms raised and seemed to punch the ball as it came in.
Umtiti took to Instagram after the game and was quick to poke fun at himself.

It wasn’t a great performance by Didier Deschamps’ side, but they’ve started with a win and face Peru on Thursday next.
