Lionel Messi finally ended his Chelsea hoodoo on Tuesday night as he slotted home Andres Iniesta’s pass to make it 1-1 at Stamford Bridge in the Champions League.
It was huge relief for Messi to finally get an unwanted record off his back and it’s no surprise that it was Iniesta who set up the Argentinian.
In fact, according to Opta, Messi has Iniesta to thank for 12 of his Champions League goals.

Messi’s strike is vital for Barcelona with Ernesto Valverde’s side having gone behind after Willian struck the opener.
However, Barca hit back as a mistake from Andreas Christensen allowed Iniesta to pick up possession and pass to Messi to fire home clincially.
