Just four days after their victorious trip to San Sebastián in the Copa del Rey against Real Sociead, Luis Enrique’s team return to the Basque Country to take on Eibar in the league. The clash in Ipurua comes in week 19 of the league campaign and the blaugranes will be looking to end the first half of the season with a victory as they currently sit in third place in the table, two points behind leaders Real Madrid and a point behind second placed Sevilla.

Barça travel to Ipurua on Sunday to take on ninth placed Eibar at 8.45pm CET in the final game of week 19’s fixtures in La Liga as the blaugranes currently sit a point behind Sevilla and two points behind leaders Real Madrid in the table. Coach Luis Enrique knows that hitting form at this point in the campaign is crucial to their defence of the league title.

Luis Enrique has called up eighteen players with Ter Stegen, Aleix Vidal and Mathieu the new faces from the squad which travelled to San Sebastián. Rafinha and Iniesta miss out through injury, Mascherano is suspended and Masip has been left out.

It wasn’t to be for Barça B who see their run come to an end due to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Villarreal B following ninety minutes in which the Catalans deserved more. Aleñá and Palencia were the two best players on the pitch but they were unable to do anything about Gerard López’s team’s first defeat since the 3-1 reverse against Badalona at the start of November.
