Following on from the 1-0 first leg win over Real Sociedad in the Copa quarter finals, FC Barcelona return to league duties on Sunday with a trip to Eibar. Luis Enrique has announced his squad for the game at Ipurua, and the manager will be without a few first team players for various reasons.

Eibar is in the Basque Country, located roughly halfway between Bilbao and San Sebastián. Population figures are vague and change over the years, but with around 30,000 people, it has a very strong case for being the smallest town to ever have a club in La Liga.

FC Barcelona will be visiting Ipurua on Sunday as they take on Eibar for Week 19 of La Liga, a ground where Leo Messi has enjoyed some fine performances during his two previous visits. The Argentine has made a flying start to the new year with four goals in five games, three of which have been from free-kicks which have seen him draw level with the great Ronald Koeman for goals from set plays (26) in a Barça shirt.

Messi's current deal with Barca expires in 2018, and he has seen both Luis Suarez and Neymar recently sign extensions until 2021. Barca president Josep Bartomeu said recently the club will do "whatever it takes" to keep hold of Messi.

Barça have continued to express their solidarity with Brazilian club Chapecoense, the victims of the terrible air tragedy in Colombia late last year. The first team players have all signed shirt, with a special dedication from Brazil’s number one player, Neymar Jr.
