Luisito chose the most important goals, not the most beautiful. What a competitor.
Barcelona superstar Luis Suárez was presented on Thursday with the European Golden Boot, which rewarded his incredible season in La Liga with 40 goals scored and a major contribution in Barça's league-winning campaign.
Luisito was truly incredible, and without a doubt the biggest star in the Spanish league last season. 40 goals is an astonishing mark that only Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo had been able to reach, and Suárez scored all types of goals: tap-ins, solo goals, beautiful volleys and penalties.
But what was Suárez' favorite goal from last season?
"There have been a lot of important goals and it's difficult to choose from them. But of the 40, the ones which mean the most are the two against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu and the one against Atletico at home which allowed us to stay at the top."

So let's recap those goals, shall we?
1 - vs Real Madrid (Santiago Bernabéu, Nov. 21, 2016)

The most iconic win of the 2015/16 season came in El Clásico, with the Blaugrana putting on a show at the Santiago Bernabéu and destroying Real Madrid thanks to a phenomenal team performance, including Andrés Iniesta, who received a standing ovation from the entire stadium when substituted in the second half.
Neymar was also special on that match, but it was Suárez who got the most goals. Two of them, actually. His first came early in the first half after just 10 minutes, thanks to a sensational run from Sergi Roberto, who started ahead of Lionel Messi that night. Suárez' finish is absolutely ridiculous, using the outside of his stronger right foot to curl the ball away from Madrid keeper Keylor Navas. Incredible.
2 - vs Real Madrid (Santiago Bernabéu, Nov. 21, 2016)

Leo Messi came back from injury in that game and while he didn't play many minutes, he was still able to contribute in the fourth and final goal, finding Jordi Alba in the middle, with the full-back then finding Suárez all alone inside the box.
Luisito then makes Navas look like a fool before eventually placing the ball in the bottom corner to finish the score and the destruction at the Bernabéu.
3 - vs Atlético Madrid (Camp Nou, Jan. 30, 2016)
(via r/Soccer)
The most difficult match of the entire league season was decided by Suárez, as the Uruguayan scored the game-winning goal to beat Atlético Madrid at Camp Nou. Barça had to come from behind in that match, and El Pistolero was at the receiving end of a sensational pass from Dani Alves. Suárez still had a lot to do, though, shielding the ball and keeping his defender away from him. The finish is exquisite, through the legs of Jan Oblak, and gave the Blaugrana a vital win in January. The two extra points won by this goal from Luisito ended up winning Barça the La Liga title.
Do you notice the trend? Suárez doesn't pick the most beautiful goals he's scored last season, but the most important. What a competitor.
