Real Madrid have been dealt a huge blow as Luka Modric faces a month out with a knee injury. Modric pulled up in training on Saturday morning, and a medical report after Zinedine Zidane’s Press conference for Madrid’s game against Eibar in La Liga on Sunday confirmed the worst.

Valencia have announced that former Italy manager Cesare Prandelli has agreed to become the new manager of the Spanish club. Valencia said Prandelli has signed a contract until June 2018. Caretaker coach Salvador "Voro" Gonzalez will be in charge of the team for Sunday's La Liga match against Atletico Madrid before Prandelli takes over.

Osasuna were denied a first La Liga victory of the season as Las Palmas fought back to earn a 2-2 draw at El Sadar. Enrique Martin's side have struggled on their return to the top flight but looked set to earn a first win at the seventh attempt when Kevin-Prince Boateng needlessly handled the ball in his own area and Roberto Torres tucked away the penalty after only seven minutes.

Late Leganes goal heaps more misery on Granada - ESPN
The visitors, who are playing in LaLiga for the first time in their history this season, should have gone in front after five minutes but Gabriel headed wide of the goal from six yards out. Leganes winger Omar Ramos saw his effort saved by Granada goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa before the hosts had their first effort of the match through Javi Marquez but his shot sailed wide.
