CONFIRMED: Barcelona's Jordi Alba to miss 10 days with hamstring injury

You know what? Not too bad!

Barcelona full-back Jordi Alba was injured in international duty, but the problem isn't serious.

Medical tests have confirmed that first-team player Jordi Alba has suffered a left thigh injury that will keep him out for approximately ten days.

This is actually good news, because the injury looked a little bit scary at first. Alba injured himself during Spain's World Cup European Qualifier match against Italy and left the pitch after just 20 minutes on Thursday. It's never good news when a player gets hurt without contact, but it turns out that a 10-day absence is as good news as you can get.

Alba will miss the next week of training and Barça's La Liga match against Deportivo La Coruña while he recovers from the injury, but the player will be back in time to be available for the massive UEFA Champions League match against Manchester City, which comes up in less than two weeks at Camp Nou.

Lucas Digne (or Mathieu) will be Alba's replacement in the game against Depor, but Jordi won't have any trouble starting against Pep Guardiola's team. While Barça fans don't really love Alba, he's still a very good full-back with the necessary experience to play in big matches like the one against the Citizens.

Go rest, Alba. We'll need you running like a crazy dude again in 10 days.
