Only one team in history has won the Treble (league, domestic cup, Champions League) twice, and that is Barcelona. From Pep Guardiola's magical side to Luis Enrique's destructive one, the Blaugrana dominated Spain and Europe for two seasons, and they continue to be favorites to win a treble of Trebles in the near future.
The club has assembled a fantastic squad for this season, and once all the pieces come together, we might be as well be looking at a third Treble in the current campaign. One of the best player in the Catalan giants' squad is Ivan Rakitic, who was part of the 2015 team that won the Treble in fantastic fashion. The Croatian is currently nursing an ankle injury, and gave a big interview to Diario Sport that will be printed on Friday.
The online version released a teaser, and in it Rakitic makes a bold statement regarding Barça winning the Treble.
"If someone can do it (win the treble every year) it's Barcelona. We live for this and the club's trajectory has shown that it can be done and we want to keep going on this path, with all the respect in the world for the other teams. We know that we are doing good work and with a hope that can't be bettered".
