Very few times a football match in the 22nd round of the league season is considered a title decider. After that match, there are sixteen more to go, and those three points don't really look huge for the outcome of the league.
But sometimes, a win means more than three points in a huge match. This is the case for Barcelona and Atlético Madrid, who face off on Saturday afternoon in Catalunya in what can be easily considered a championship decider.
Both teams are tied on points at the top of the table. The Blaugrana are first on goal difference, and still have one more game to go. Meaning that, if they win on Saturday and the extra match to play, they'll open up a six-point lead over the Colchoneros. With Real Madrid still looking for some consistency, it's not crazy to say Barça will take a giant step towards back-to-back league trophies.
The 'MSN' trio and their partners carry a spectacular 25-game unbeaten streak, the third longest in club history. Atlético will certainly be the biggest obstacle on the road to the record-breaking 29th victory, and the in-form Antoine Griezmann feeding off Diego Simeone's fantastic defensive system present a giant challenge in this title-deciding fixture. This Saturday, Barça vs Atleti might just be as big as El Clásico. What does that mean? You should not miss it. It's definitely must-watch television.
