A deal is said to be close
Barcelona are reportedly making a move for Real Betis left-back Junior Firpo. The deal is apparently worth €27m and Barcelona are simply a Bartomeu yes away from the deal happening. Firpo is a left-back prospect that has been on the radar of other teams for awhile as well, specifically Real Madrid.
The move would be a valuable one for Barcelona. Given the need for further left-back depth and the lack of any obvious other targets. Firpo has an interesting career on his hands, before Real Betis signed him, he considered giving up football all together.
But the persistence paid off, and now it seems like it’s more than likely he’ll be a Barcelona player before the season begins. Finally giving them the left-back competition they’ve long wanted.
