Statement from the FC Barcelona first team | FC Barcelona
Given the reaction to our decision to celebrate the victory as well as the team's recent play, which coincided with Halloween, the FC Barcelona first football team releases the following statement.
Barça's agenda for a week that sees the return of Champions League play | FC Barcelona
FC Barcelona won't have to go far this week. Over the next seven days, the Catalans will host games both in the UEFA Champions Leagua against BATE Borisov and in La Liga against Villarreal. And they'll prepare for both of those matches just a stone's throw away at the Ciutat Esportiva in Sant Joan Despí. Now that you know where they'll be, let's take a closer look at when they'll be training and when they'll be playing.
Sergi Roberto is playing like Zidane, according to man who discovered the Barcelona midfielder - Goal.com
Albert Benaiges — who went to watch one Nastic de Tarragona player a decade ago and came back to La Masia with a 14-year-old Roberto instead — has been glowing with his praise. "That flicked assist for Suarez’s goal was of a top player, reminiscent of someone like Zinedine Zidane, Pele or Diego Armando Maradona," he told Goal.
Rayo Vallecano boss Paco Jemez believes Barcelona's reported interest in Lass Bangoura is 'fanastic news' for the winger. Bangoura impressed during Barcelona's 5-2 victory against Rayo last month and has been linked with a move to the Nou Camp. And although Paco wants to ensure 23-year-old Lass is giving his all to Rayo, the Spanish boss believes the Barca rumours are testament to the player's potential.
Arsenal transfer news and rumours: 'Barcelona to step up interest in Theo Walcott' - Telegraph
The rumour mill has been a-spinning over the weekend and has landed at Barcelona signing Theo Walcott. According to Spanish paper Mundo Deportivo, Barca will celebrate the lifting of their transfer embargo in January by signing the injury-prone striker/winger/run-fast man. The need for reinforcements in the wide forward position for Barcelona has been exacerbated by the sale of Pedro in the summer and the season ending injury suffered by Rafinha, and apparently Walcott fits the bill.
FC Barcelona B fall to leaders Reus, but only just barely | FC Barcelona
FC Barcelona B saw their six game unbeaten streak halted on Sunday at Deportiu Reus, which were able to take over the top spot in Group III of the Second Division B. The Catalans won the battle for possession and took care of the ball for the most part, but an unlucky own-goal by Rodrigo Tarín was the only score of the game. Barça B had several chances to tie but could not avoid defeat, keeping them on thirteen points in the standings.
