Valverde’s reign will finally draw to a close
Ernesto Valverde’s exit and Quique Setién’s entrance will come tomorrow, according to RAC1. Valverde is considered a dead man walking by the media, with multiple outlets reporting that the Barcelona board has already decided to sack him. Several news organizations also say Setién will be hired to replace him.
However, nothing is official yet, and the latest rumor says that it won’t be the case until tomorrow.

It’s past 10 p.m. in Barcelona now, and it’s looking less and less likely we’ll hear more news tonight.
Reports also said that Setién’s biggest competitor for the Barcelona job was Mauricio Pochettino. However, it seems the Argentine is no longer in the running because he rejected an offer from the Catalan club.
