Barça’s striker search is narrowing down
FC Barcelona are willing to part with a player either now or in the summer to obtain Rodrigo, Valencia’s striker, according to Diario SPORT. However, a deal is not yet assured with Valencia able to dictate terms. Should the deal fail to materialize, AS Monaco’s Wissam Ben Yedder is a possibility.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Arsenal) and Timo Werner (RB Leipzig) had been mentioned as possible options for Barcelona’s striker search, but both deals are now being considered basically impossible, per the report.
Krzysztof Piątek (AC Milan), Lautaro Martínez (Inter Milan), Ciro Immobile (Lazio), Edinson Cavani (Paris Saint-Germain), Cristhian Stuani (Girona), and Victor Osimhen (Lille) have also been rumored, but it seems the striker search has narrowed.
In addition, Pedro (Chelsea) and Dani Olmo (Dinamo Zagreb) were tipped for a return to Barcelona, but both seem to be discarded, at least for the moment. Mundo Deportivo reports Barcelona want a pure striker to replace the injured Luis Suárez, not wingers such as those two.
