While FC Barcelona is making an effort to sign Rodrigo from Valencia, Quique Setién has another La Liga striker in mind: Loren Morón, according to a new report.

Setién knows the striker from his time at Real Betis, when he came up from Real Betis B to become an indisputable starter. He is now tied for sixth in the Pichichi race with 8 goals.

However, it is said that Barcelona do not value Morón as highly because they think his low media profile will make him harder to sell when the time comes to move him on.

For the moment, it seems that Valencia’s Rodrigo is the first name on Barcelona’s wishlist.

Osasuna’s Chimy Ávila is also being mentioned as a possibility. He has nine goals so far this season in La Liga, which puts him in fourth place in the charts. Setién’s second in command, Eder Sarabia, also praised Ávila on Twitter before he became a part of Barcelona’s coaching staff. However, the Argentine would count against Barcelona’s three non-EU spots, which might be reserved for Arthur (Brazil), Arturo Vidal (Chile), and Ronald Araújo (Uruguay), should the latter be promoted.
