In a word, no.
Alexandre Lacazette’s player profile was found on the official FC Barcelona website, launching a lot of speculation and stories you can find online. Was it proof that the Arsenal forward’s move to Catalonia was already in the works? Was the site hacked?

The link went dead later on, only fueling more rumors. Did someone realize they published too early and take it offline after it leaked? Was this proof he was already on the way?
The answer is... no.
It turns out that Barcelona’s website keeps a player profile of every player the team has played against in the past years. That is, unless you think Barça are also in for Steve Bould and David Seaman and many other players they are definitely not going to sign, in part because many of them are retired.

Looks like they have one for Arsenal defender Steve Bould too, evidently opting for experience by adding the 56-year-old to their back line. pic.twitter.com/AkhTSo3SoR
That said, the Lacazette to Barcelona rumor is indeed one that is making news, and not because of weird website quirks. It’s understood that Antoine Griezmann is Barça’s first-choice target to upgrade the forward line, but such a move is not guaranteed to go through. Lacazette is said to be the main alternative the Catalan giants are interested in.
