One of the biggest young prospects of Barcelona football is set to go out on loan, and his destination is reportedly decided.
According to reports from Catalonia, 19-year-old midfielder Alen Halilovic is indeed moving out for the upcoming season to get experience. After being relegated with Barça B to the third tier of the Spanish league, the Croatian youngster did not seem comfortable with playing a less competitive division; however, he is still not ready to join the first team, so a loan seemed the most logical decision.
The Catalan giants' new technical secretary, Robert Fernández, even confirmed that news last week:
"Halilovic is sure to go on loan to another team. We have told the player that that’s Barça’s intention. We’ll look for a loan deal where he can continue to develop as a player and come back next year. He’s a young player with a lot of quality."

So far, the most likely destination was another La Liga team, with Sporting Gijón becoming the front-runners. Over the last few hours, however, Bundesliga originals Hamburger SV have shown plenty of interest in the player once they've heard the confirmation from the Blaugrana. The German team is pushing for a two-year deal with a buying option at the end of the contract, with Barça being free to call Alen back whenever they want.
Halilovic's future is likely to be known within the next few days.
