According to reports from Catalan radio RAC1, Barcelona loanee Denis Suárez is leaving Sevilla, but will remain in La Liga as the midfielder will sign for Villarreal. Both clubs received permission from the Catalan giants to work on a transfer, and the Yellow Submarine will pay €4 million to sign Suárez on a permanent deal.
But Barça can still get him back on a low fee. When the Blaugrana signed Ivan Rakitic last season, they made an agreement to loan Denis to the Seville side for two years, and the Rojiblancos would have a €6 million buying option at the end of each year (which they didn't exercise), while the Treble winners can buy him back next June for just €3 million.
That agreement reportedly remains in place even with the sale to Villarreal, sources told Barça Blaugranes. That, in fact, was the condition imposed by the club to approve the transfer in the first place. The Catalans will not let Denis go and will buy him back next season, sources say.
One of the most promising midfielders to come out of La Masia, Suárez struggled to find place in the Blaugranes' first team, so he went to Sevilla and had a good development under Unai Emery. Now, he's expected to get a bigger role with the Yellows, which could help him even more once he returns to Camp Nou.
Denis is expected to sign a three-year contract with his new club, and the deal will likely be announced within the next few days.
