Louis Van Gaal promises Barcelona forward Pedro starting role at Manchester United

As the Pedro Saga rolls on, Manchester United people have a final trick up their sleeve to get the job done.

According to a report from The Telegraph, manager Louis Van Gaal promised the Barcelona forward a starting role alongside attackers Memphis Depay and Wayne Rooney to form a quick and dynamic front three for next season. Van Gaal is keen to use a 4-3-3 formation on this campaign with the arrival of midfielders like Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger, and Pedro would be the final touch to complete his dream XI for the Red Devils.

The Premier League giants have made an official €30 million offer to the Blaugrana, and a deal with the player himself is almost done. Pedro has reportedly told his inner circle that he is willing to leave Catalonia after a frustrating season of serving as a backup to the 'MSN' trio. However, coach Luis Enrique has clearly said that he wants the Spanish winger to stay at the club.

"I want him to stay. If there are changes, that will be down to the player.

"He's a fantastic, top-class player who won everything and showed for club and country what he can do.

"It's not nice to talk about negatives, I like to think things will work well. Maybe some players might leave, but right now, there's nothing to comment on."

Club president Josep Maria Bartomeu also expressed his desire to have the player for the upcoming seasons, but the move seems very likely to happen.

And after that pitch by Van Gaal, it's hard to think Pedro is not attracted to the idea of being a key squad member again.
