Fati just keeps making history

Bojan was previously the youngest in the post-war era, having played while 17 years, 117 days old in 2007. Fati did so while 17 years, 48 days old in a 0-0 between Real Madrid and Barcelona yesterday.
The youngest ever was Vicenç Martínez, also known as Vicente Martínez, who played for Barcelona against Real Madrid at 16 years, 280 days old. The match was at Chamartín Stadium, a predecessor to the Santiago Bernabéu, on October 1941. Real Madrid won 4-3.
Strangely enough, that was Martínez’s first-ever game for Barcelona’s senior team. It remains to this day the youngest a player has ever been while taking the pitch for Barça.
Fati is the second-youngest to ever play for the Catalans, debuting at 16 years and 298 days, making him only 18 days older than Martínez when he made his debut.
Martínez only made seven league appearances for Barcelona, but continued to play around Catalonia with various clubs through the 40s and into the early 50s. He died on October 2nd, 2018.
Fati is the youngest scorer in Barcelona’s history, and the youngest in the history of La Liga to score and assist in the same match. He’s also the youngest to feature for Barcelona in a UEFA Champions League match, and the youngest goalscorer in the history of the competition.
