Ernesto Valverde’s side ran out 4-1 winners
Luis Suarez injury will concern Barcelona
Luis Suarez put in another fine display for Barcelona with a lovely assist for Lionel Messi and then an even better individual goal.
He could have had more too but missed a couple of good chances on a night when he moved level with Diego Forlan as the top Uruguayan goalscorer in La Liga history.
And that goal means @LuisSuarez9 equals Diego Forlán as the highest scoring Uruguayan in @LaLigaEN history! pic.twitter.com/9mbour9LWq

It wasn’t all good news though, as Suarez picked up an ankle injury late on and appeared to be in quite a bit of pain.
He hobbled off the pitch at the end of the match, and Barcelona confirmed afterwards it was a sprain. However, they stopped short of clarifying how long he’d been out for.
Suarez was set to meet up with Uruguay over the international break but will now get some rest and recovery, and Barcelona will be hoping he’s not sidelined for too long.
Barcelona return to action against Espanyol on March 30, but of more concern will be the two Champions League quarter-final ties against Manchester United on April 10th and 16th.
Barcelona close in on title
Barcelona took full advantage of Atletico Madrid’s defeat to Athletic Bilbao on Saturday by taking all three points at Betis to move 10 points clear with just 10 games left to play.
It was an important game for Barca, who were beaten 4-3 by Betis at the Camp Nou in November, but they ended up coasting to victory against Quique Setien’s side.
Messi spoke after the game about how Barca “could not falter” after seeing Atletico lose, and his brilliance helped continue the club’s awesome form.

Barcelona now have a healthy lead to enjoy over the international break before some more crucial fixtures in La Liga in April.
Messi can even get Betis fans off their feet
Lionel Messi produced yet another magical performance with a superb hat-trick that even had Real Betis fans off their feet and applauding the GOAT.

Tremendous gesture from the @RealBetis fans as they recognise that the Leo #Messi magic is something for everyone to enjoy. Bravo!

The first was a brilliant free-kick fired into the top corner, the second a neat flick with the outside of his boot after good work from Suarez, and the third - well that was something else entirely.

Messi said after the match he didn’t think he’d ever received an ovation from opposing fans before, although if he keeps on like this he may have to get used to it.
The Barcelona skipper now has 29 goals in 26 La Liga games this season, 39 in all competitions, four hat-tricks and has scored two or more goals in 11 games. And it’s only March.
