The midfielder impressed for Barcelona against Spurs
Barcelona defender Thomas Vermaelen had high praise for Arthur Melo after Barcelona’s 4-2 win over Tottenham on Wednesday. Arthur had just his third start for the club since joining them and has had a tough time getting the opportunity to showcase his ability.
“Arthur is a good player and of course he needs more games to adapt to the club and style,” he said.
“But his start has been incredible, he has all the battling skills and the technical ability to go right to the top.”

Vermaelen coming out and praising Arthur is good news for the player. Some players who join Barcelona and get a slow start sometimes don’t gain back the steam they had at their previous club.
