The midfielder is expected to depart this summer
Andre Gomes’ strange tenure at Barcelona hasn’t been under-covered. It’s a fascinating story and something that has dragged on. However, the period of Gomes and his odd tenure at Barcelona is seemingly nearing an end.
Barcelona FC are heading out on a US tour and Gomes won’t be apart of it, according to Sport. This information is yet another hint towards his impending exit of the club.
The two clubs that have been heavily linked with Gomes are Arsenal and Juventus. The fee that Barcelona want is reportedly around €20m. The likelihood that Gomes goes for that number is low, in reality the reported compromise is closer to €18m
In his time at Barcelona Gomes never really made the impact many wished he would have. He’s a more than capable midfielder in theory who would have been perfect for the club moving forward. They needed a physical presence with a gifted touch, Gomes could just never find his stride at the club.
