Barcelona’s GAZUMP took everyone - including the player’s own mother - by surprise.
It was all announced, and all set. Malcom would leave Bordeaux and join AS Roma. The player was about to board a flight to Rome, where the club had already rolled out the red carpet and fans awaited to greet him.
But then came Barcelona with a bid, not just in the 11th hour, but at 11:59. It caught everyone by surprise... even the player’s own mother.
According to Premium Sport via Diario SPORT, Malcom’s mother took an earlier fight to Rome to greet him when he got there. She was actually in the air when news of Barcelona’s move broke. She landed in Italy, now unsure if her son would join her.
Now that it’s been confirmed Malcom will join Barça, let’s hope his mom can finally relax.
