The manager has been having a good first season
Ernesto Valverde recently revealed his favorite moments in his tenure as FC Barcelona manager. The coach is in his maiden season, but his team is doing well. They have a comfortable lead atop La Liga, they won their UEFA Champions League group, and they’re still alive in the Copa del Rey.
“There’s no special moment in my Barça career so far…” he began. “There are many moments which have been important…
“The comeback against La Real, the games against Juve -- the game at home especially because it came early on, it was important and it served to win the group. The away game, too. But I hope the best is yet to come.”
One game he didn’t mention that perhaps most fans would have: the 3-0 win over Real Madrid in el Clásico.
