January has been a busy old month for Barcelona in the transfer window and it looks as though the club are set to wave goodbye to another player.
According to various reports a deal to take Rafinha from Barcelona to Inter Milan is pretty much a done deal with the Brazilian moving on an initial loan.
According to Sport, the deal also includes a compulsory purchase option should Inter qualify for the Champions League. If they do then they will have to buy Rafinha for €35 million (and potentially rising to €35m).
It’s a similar story at Marca, who add that he will sign a three and a half year deal at Inter, if the move becomes permanent.
AS say that if the deal does happen “he will be the most expensive La Masia product to leave Barcelona.” They also report he will head to Milan for a medical and will take in Inter’s game with Roma on Sunday.
Rafinha’s had an awful time with injuries, so it’s understandable Inter are wary of buying him outright.
However, if they do €35m is a pretty decent price, although it’s a shame to see him go. Hopefully, though he can get his career back in track and stay injury-free.
