The skipper scored twice on Saturday
Barely a match seems to go by without Lionel Messi reaching some kind of extraordinary landmark or other and it was the same story on Saturday against Granada.
The captain scored twice in the 4-0 win with his goals ensuring he has become the only player in La Liga history to net 10 or more goals for 15 seasons in a row.

Messi’s first was a lovely curled finish after good work from Antoine Griezmann, while his second was a brilliant free-kick that was hit low and into the far corner.
The strike was Messi’s 48th from a direct free-kick in a Barcelona shirt, putting him one ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Messi is also now back on top of the Pichichi charts and in the running to land the trophy for a record eighth time. Finishing as top scorer once more looked a tough ask at the start of the season but Messi has proved yet again it’s always a bad idea to doubt him.
