The striker is set for treatment next week
Barcelona striker Luis Suarez has offered an update on his knee injury and says he will have treatment next week.
It has been reported that the Uruguayan picked up the problem against Spurs and may miss Sunday’s trip to Valencia.
Uruguay have confirmed he’s been left out of their squad due to the imminent arrival of his third child but said he could be made available for selection if his son arrives early.
Here’s what Suarez has had to say.
“On Monday I start a knee treatment that has nothing to do with my absence from the Uruguay national team,” he said.
“I am not going with them because my wife and I are expecting a child.”

The injury doesn’t sound too serious, and it seems the international break will allow Suarez some time for treatment and to rest up a little.
