The defender says he’s always blamed when they concede
Gerard Pique had a little rant after Barcelona’s 1-1 draw with Valencia on Sunday at Mestalla.
Barcelona went a goal down inside two minutes, as their defending again let them down. A corner in from Dani Parejo wasn’t cleared and Ezequiel Garay slotted home at the far post.
Pique reckons that he gets the blame whenever Barcelona concede a goal and that people want him to fail.
“I know that there are many people who are hoping that things don’t go well for me,” he said.
“They can enjoy it, they should come out of their caves and enjoy the sun. There are many people waiting for me and want to go for me.
”When we concede a goal it’s my fault, there are people who are waiting for me, but not only in Madrid. The TV can take advantage, come out of the cave, because this is going to change.”

Pique’s comments are pretty interesting and come after a spell where he has not been at his best and has made some high-profile errors
Barcelona do have time to regroup now during the international break, but they have some tough fixtures when the action resumes in a couple of weeks.
Sevilla is their first game back, followed by Inter Milan in the Champions League and then El Clasico.
