Jordi Alba left out of Spain squad again

Luis Enrique has overlooked the left-back for a second time

Luis Enrique has once again left Jordi Alba out of his Spain squad for forthcoming games against England and Wales.

The full-back was in brilliant form against Tottenham in the Champions League on Wednesday, but it’s not been enough to get him back in the squad,

Sergi Roberto also misses out, but Sergio Busquets is included and there is also a recall for Paco Alcacer.

Alcacer has enjoyed a fine start to his loan spell with Borussia Dortmund and scored his fourth goal for the Bundesliga side in their 3-0 win over Monaco in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Here’s the full squad:

Goalkeepers: Kepa Arrizabalaga, Pau Lopez, David De Gea

Defenders: Jose Gaya, Marcos Alonso, Raul Albiol, Nacho, Sergio Ramos, Marc Bartra, Cesar Azpilicueta, Jonny Otto

Midfielders: Sergio Busquets, Rodri, Koke, Dani Ceballos, Thiago Alcantara, Saul Niguez

Forwards: Marco Asensio, Alvaro Morata, Rodrigo Moreno, Suso, Iago Aspas, Paco Alcacer

Spain play Wales in a friendly in Cardiff on October 10, they then face England at the Benito Villamarin on October 15 in the UEFA Nations League.
