Rumours: Pogba, Dembele, Parejo and Samper

Another day, another batch of hot gossip

Manchester United reject Barcelona’s Pogba bid

There’s only one place to start today’s rumor round-up and that’s with Mr Paul Pogba and Manchester United.

The Red Devils have reportedly turned down Barcelona’s bid of Andre Gomes, Yerry Mina and a sackful of cash for their World Cup winner, so say The Guardian.

The Premier League team simply don’t want to sell the Frenchman and want him to reproduce the form he showed at the World Cup at Old Trafford.

Operation Pogba is over

Over at Sport it’s a slightly different story albeit with a similar ending. They report ‘Operation Pogba’ is over as United are completely unwilling to negotiate a deal.

Mino Raiola has been trying his best to engineer the midfielder a move to the Camp Nou this summer but it simply isn’t happening.

Pogba was excited about the deal, particularly as he’s good pals with Arturo Vidal, but those spoilsports at Manchester United reckon the midfielder is a key player and won’t sell.

Arsenal & Man Utd to make one final Dembele push

Mundo Deportivo are running an interesting report in which they claim Arsenal and Manchester United both fancy a late go at signing Ousmane Dembele.

Unai Emery is a big fan and is apparently willing to splash the clash in Dembele’s direction. He also reckons he’d be perfect alongside former team-mate Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

There’s also mention of Manchester United, but it’s all a bit vague and.....next!

Dani Parejo in Barcelona

Valencia’s Dani Parejo is in Barcelona which has got Sport all excited. Even more exciting is the fact that he’s staying in a hotel near the Camp Nou, which can only mean thing one thing right?!

Parejo has a release clause of €50 million, and Barcelona apparently got in touch recently and received a positive response.

Sampdoria want Samper

Another player who could be heading for the exit door this summer is Sergi Samper who has apparently been told he’s not part of Ernesto Valverde’s plans.

Serie A side Sampdoria are hoping to take advantage of the situation and fancy bringing him to Italy in a permanent move, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Miranda will replace Lucas Digne

And finally today we end with news that Juan Miranda has been chosen as the replacement for Lucas Digne in the Barcelona squad, so say Sport.

The 18-year-old will be promoted to the first team and play the role of Jordi Alba’s deputy in the coming season.

He’s expected to be part of the squad for the Supercopa de Espana, while Marc Cucurella is likely to leave the club either on loan or on a permanent deal.
